Switching off to see Dallas

1. In this essay "Switching Off to See Dallas" I think I will read about how we can see the world in another way or in a different point of view.

3. Indoctrination, priesthoods, Brain-washing.

4. American soldiers were confessing to all kinds of crimes they had not commited.

        A. I choosed this sentence from the essay because It is interesting how the North Koreans used brain-washing techniques to make the soldiers confess all kinds of crimes that they did not commit. It is interesting how the governments used brain-washing techniques to control their subjects for thousands of years.

Summary: pg. 44-46

People who knew how to laugh resisted best because soldiers who faced their punishments with laughter were more likely to survive than others. Only the free people can laugh at themselves because it is a powerful thing that not everyone can do. Usually the people at the top of a government or any administration of the government never know what goes on the lower levels. This means that people at the bottom are badly treated.

There were government workes whose job was to pretend to be ordinary citizens so they will be able to check the behaviour of officials. The officials behaved with more care and the standard of public services was kept high because the officials could not be sure that the person that is in front of them was not an inspector from the government.

Swiching of to See Dallas

    By using the brain-washing techniques, governments have been manipulating people’s thoughts and have often times forced them to perform atrocity against people of the same race without any remorse. When people hear that believers are the easiest target to be brain-washed, they believe that those people are silly; but the author said that anyone (conscious or unconscious) will fall into the process of being brain-washed. One day we will stop being believers and believe in our own selves and not be manipulated by anyone else. Advertisers and the government both have the same power of brain-washing the society; for example the society is more distracted by bells and whistles of the actual meaning. There were government workers whose job was to pretend to be ordinary citizens so they will be able to check the behavior of officials, who behaved with more care and the standard of public services although they were in secured at some point. It is the government that is brain-washing their very own people to believe that even killing others is an acceptable thing.

 

In this video we wanted to show that swiching of to see dallas is a chapter that talks mostly about people being brain-washed. Also it talks about how the people was so brain-washed  by the government and how they manipulated peoples' thoughts. Believers are the easiest to fall into the process fo being brain-whashed. Also the people can get brain-washed by all of the advertisements that we see every day. The government used a lot of techniques to manipulate the people the way they want to. The government is brain-washing their very own people to make us do whatever they want.
