Iran-Iraq War, Nationalism, and Imperialism
The war, the imperialism and the Nationalism represented a major part of what Marjane talked about in this book (Persepolis). This things caused Marjane a lot of hard experiences during her life. Marjane  was able to feel things that many people have not feel or experienced before. For this theme we choosed the word "destroy" to represent war because in this book Marjane talks about how bombing was a major impact to every one because it destroyed others peoples lifes by killing the people that they loved or were near them. It also shows how Marjane was proud to demonstrate and fight for what she believed in. This theme is a little bit related to other themes like: Childhood and Survival and Religion because the war and the religion caused a big impact to many children and the country.

When I was trying to find information about this theme, I got confused of how to explain the nationalism and imperialism part but at the end we found some good information in the book that let us give good examples of nationalism an imperialism.
