GROUP MINDS

Group Minds

1. In this chapter I think I will read aboout how groups that think in their own way. Also I think It wil be about how groups can changes our opinion or thoughts.

2. Why when we are in a group,  we tend to think as that group does?

3. Experiment, stubbornly, sharply.

4. "Many agree that among our most shameful memories is this, how often we said black was white because other people were saying it".

          A. I choosed this sentence because it is important to know how being in a group can make you think as the group does. Also it shows how we can be so influenced by what other people say or think and influence us to do the same things or think as they do.

Group Minds

In society people feel as if they are living in a “free world” and are accepted as “individuals. You may feel individual, but in the end you are just a part of some type of group. The groups could be anything from religious groups, political groups, to your family. When being in a group you are drawn to believe what the majority believes, and that makes you “like minded”. Then there are individualist who get worked up and finally resist from the group and disobey the atmosphere, and tell the truth. Some groups of people will resist the obvious because they are set on what they believe in, which means no change. You ask why people are afraid of peer group pressure. Because people follow majority not just one opinion, and most of the time people get scorned for believes, and that makes you “like minded”. Then there are individualist who get worked up and finally resist from the group and disobey the atmosphere, and tell the truth.
